About Saul David Raye Saul David Raye is a highly acclaimed and inspirational teacher, known for his empowering and transformational approach to yoga, healing and spirituality. He began practicing Yoga and meditation as a teenager inspired by his father Denis and his first Dharma teacher Yogavachara Rahula. He spent a year living in the forest at Bhavana Society, a buddhist Monastery and retreat center, practicing Yoga and Mediation. He then spent several years in Asia and India, studying different healing traditions, including two years in Thailand learning and practicing Traditional Thai massage, pranic healing and Vipassana meditation. He was personally certified to teach Thai massage by his teacher and friend Asokananda, one of the world's foremost experts in Thai massage. Saul's teaching brings alive the holistic nature of healing in a way that is simple, powerful and accessible, allowing people to connect more deeply with their own authentic power and spirit. He holds certifications in Yoga, bodywork and energy healing , is an ordained minister and musician who infuses his classes with healing music and chants. He has collaborated on many musical projects including recently co-producing albums with acclaimed kirtan singer Dave Stringer and a collective of musicians. Producing several albums of sanskrit chants set to soulful world music. Sauls
is one of the leading teachers of Yoga and Thai Yoga massage in the western
hemisphere.
He has been on the faculty of numerous
national conferences and has been featured in different health publications.
He was the co-founder of
the original Sacred Movement Center for Yoga and Healing in Los Angeles.
Currently he teaches community classes at Shakti's
Elements and Exhale Center for
Sacred Movement , leads Yoga Teacher trainings and Thai Yoga Therapy
training program and leads Yoga workshops, intensives and retreats around
the country. He
lives in Los Angeles with his partner Kathryn and their three sons
